Abstract

The article deals with the self-styled indigenous people Paiter, which means "People of Truth" or "Real People" who dwells in Indigenous Sete de Setembro or Paiterey Garah, north of the city of Cacoal - Rondônia to Rondolândia - Mato Grosso in 27 villages. It has aimed analyze the use of technology made by Paiter Suruí, as transcultural-territorial strategy tool for the strengthening of culture and identity and addressing the post-colonial discourse. Nowadays the Paiter Suruí have become reference in the ceaseless struggle for recognition through grandiose projects and planned for long-term as the REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation), Ecotourism Suruí, partnership with Google Earth in the development of their cultural map, even available on the Internet. The use of technological objects for the development of these projects became a regular in the Indigenous Land, which is how the Paiter Suruí take on a role without giving up their cultural identity and values and the territorial guard.
