Abstract

This paper proposed the use of didactic cases of minerals classified as to their hardness according to Mohs Scale to use school space. These kits will support and promote the work of pedagogical Science teachers of Basic Education as the National Curricular Parameters. The following methodological procedures literature review were conducted on Mineralogy and their properties, selection of minerals by the assets of SEGEP / UEG, cataloging and description of minerals, production of the teaching kits and preparation of chips with 10 minerals talc, gypsum, calcite, fluorite , apatite, orthoclase, quartz, topaz, corundum and diamond. The analysis of selected minerals to make up the teaching kits were adapted from Mineralogy manuals, where mineralogical studies of Friedrich Mohs outlines the name of the mineral, its ranking on the Mohs Scale and specifies the object that you can scratch it. The teaching kits are small showcases essential in education geological / mineralogical.
