Abstract

This work contains a reflection on the afro-brazilian fashion consumption and the main difficulties it faces when entering the market. It aims to raise questions about the obstacles faced by brands and designers who work in the development of afro-brazilian fashion , which denotes some relative ethnical and racial discrimination. Therefore , a brief description on how the inclusion of afro descendants happened in Brazilian society as well as a field research with relevant fashion producers on the national scene . Thus , it was possible to identify some economic growth and visibility difficulties these professionals and their brands have to position themselves as afro-brazilian fashion . It was also possible to identify that it is a fashion for everyone and not only aimed for the afro descendants population
