Abstract

The southern portion of Anápolis (GO), where the São João District is inserted, stands out for the presence of a significant number of erosive processes. Urban soils are intensely affected by the advance of urbanization and thus are expressed in several socio-environmental problems. For this, a specific literature survey and a case study with the support of field work, photographic record, field book notes and accurate analysis were carried out during the last three months of 2016 and the first semester of 2017. The objective was to propose some low cost techniques to contain the small gully with materials found in situ and in the vicinity. Therefore, it is concluded that environmental urban planning is extremely essential, since it is a useful tool in the occupation and rational expansion of urban space. It should be added that public policies should and should be linked to city planning, avoiding environmental degradation and segregation of people. It is noted the absence of conservation plans by the municipal management, so it is suggested to combat small gullies with inexpensive techniques and materials found in the environment and in the neighborhood.
