Abstract

This article aimed to analyze Nova Mutum geographic production space - in the light of agribusiness expansion process in the north of Mato Grosso state, and due to population movements motivated by agro-industry facilities, refrigerators and among other activities originating from countryside and city.The hegemonic dynamic relations that are around national public policies directed to expansion of grains,in addition to Brazil’s role in world trade organization as a major agricultural commodity exporter, it has significantly reflected into geographic space in question, especially after the 2000s.The urban fabric has grown, commercial activities have expanded, the countryside has been productively restructured, modernizing itself, and this intensified workforce migrations, especially from North and Northeast populations of Brazil.
