DESEMPENHO E GRAU DE HELMINTOSE EM BEZERROS FILHOS DE MATRIZES PREVIAMENTE CLASSIFICADAS EM RESISTENTES, RESILIENTES E SUSCETÍVEIS
Abstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the degree of helminths, weight gain and hematological parameters of Nelom calves, females and males, from matrices of the same herd previously desified by different levels of parasitic infection. The animes were divided according to the desification of their mothers, being children of resistant (G1), resilient (62) and susceptible (G3). Feces were collected at coda 28 days for the count of eggs per gram of feces (OPG), stool culture and identification of larvae. Weighings were performed every 28 dins, after weaning and blood collections, at the beginning and at the end of the experiment to determine the globular volume, total plasma protein and blood eosinophil count. The result obtained for OPG showed that there was no significant difference between G1, G2 and G3. In the period from three to eight months of age, the OPG of male calves also showed no difference between the groups, as the daughter calves of cows previously classified as susceptible (G3) had a higher OPG in relation to the has of resistant and resilient cows (G1 and 02). Regarding weight, there was a significant difference in the general GPD (males and females), where the animals in G3 had a lower GPD in relation to the other groups, whereas G1 and G2 did not show any significant difference. In the hematological parameters there was no difference in the evaluated parameters. In stool cultures, in all groups, larvae of Coopenia spp. Haemonchus spp. and Cesophagostomum spp. It is concluded that calves born to susceptible cows may be influenced by their dams in relation to the parasitic load and thus, a reduction in their productive performance. J male calves were not influenced by their miles on the degree of verminosis and performance.
