Posture to a new phase in life
Abstract
This practical experiment has the aim to work with groups of aged, making movements based on the salutogenic perspective. This work was developed using 631 subjects of several cities in the State of Niedersachsen, Germany, but only 452 subjects (men and women) with ages from 35 to more than 70 year-old responded to the study. The activities were made using practices which had the aim to enlarge the body perceptions during movements and during social contacts. The results showed that, in a subjective perspective, the participants presented an improvement in the movement, in the body perception, in the relationship facing stressors factors during routine, the relationship with each other and facing life in a spiritual way. These results drive us to confirm those works which put a personal value and respects the limits which may substantially contribute to what Antonovski (1979) defines as General Resources of Resistance, which reinforce the importance to face the stressors factors of life.Downloads
