This paper aims to provide a current view on curriculum development in Germany. The article is structured in three steps: In the first step is given a description of the development of the discipline Physical Education as an academic discipline in German universities after the Second World War. The second step is explaining the basic understanding of university education in Physical Education: The university training of students has two points of superior reference: 1. Physical Education in school; 2. Movement in the school environment, understood as integration of movement, play and sport throughout the school. In the third step is presented as an example the curriculum in the training of students at the University of Braunschweig. The fundamental aspect of this curriculum is its structuring in modules.Downloads
