Graduation in physical education and the reality of basic education: perception of future teachers

The study aimed to verify the perception of school Physical Education students, about your undergraduate course and its relationship with the school context. The research had as participants 52 students from a public university in the north of the state of Paraná, Brazil, at the end of curricular stage. Based on national resolutions for teacher formation, Pedagogical Project and course menus, a matrix was built based on the theoretical dimensions “construction of identity”, “relationship with the school” and “pedagogical knowledge”, generating 10 units of analysis and a questionnaire that was answered by the participants. The research results demonstrate strengths and weaknesses in the process of interaction between activities inside and outside the classroom, mainly the supervised stage and teaching, research and extension projects, actions considered essential to teacher qualification.
