The objective of this study was to develop equations of correction for the EDC measured with adipometry CESCORF (Scientific model) for four equations that were originally developed with adipometry LANGE. Two hundred and fifty nine men (average of 23,3 age ± 2,9 years) participated voluntarily in this inquiry. Nine cutaneous folds were measured by the two adipometrys (abdominal, suprailíaca, subescapular, tricipital, bicipital, axillary average, pectoral, leg average and and thigh average). Through the simple linear regression analysis four equations were generated to correct %G derived from four frequently used equations in Brazil. For the four frequently used equations in Brazil R2 was of 0,99 (estimate error standard of 0,434 to 0,626). The results indicate that the use of the suggested equations can reduce the error of EDC and %G measure when using CESCORF compass instead of the Lange.Downloads
