CARACTERIZAÇÃO DOS AÇOS DP600 E DP780 PARA USO NA CONFORMAÇÃO MECÂNICA
Abstract
In the automotive industry the search for materials with great mechanic resistance and low weight has always been a great field of study. Due to this necessity, the Dual Phase Steels (DP) has been developed. These steels have a ferritic-martensitic microstructure, which provides its necessary hardness to its automotive application. The main objective of this study is to compare the performance of the DP600 and DP780 steels in stamping processes. For that, mechanical tests were realized, such as tensile, Erichsen, anisotropy, diamond pyramid hardness analysis and abrasive wear with rubber wheel test. The results show that the DP780 requires higher strength to deform and even so has a smaller elongation than the DP600, phenomenon observed in the Tensile Test. Plus, the DP600 had a higher Erichsen Index, showing better drawablity. A detailed characterization is the goal of this project, giving conditions to determine which of the steels should have better results for sheet metal forming processes.
