Nine water samples and six sediment samples were monthly collected over one-year period at different sites from Ingá reservoir and their pH and water temperature measured. Copper concentration was determined through atomic absorption method (flame modality). The monthly average values in the form of intervals and means were respectively (nd) - 80.10 and 2.90 (mg.mL--1) copper concentration in water; 163.00 - 461.60 and 303.51 (mg.g-1) copper concentration in sediment; 7.02 - 8.23 and 7.60 pH; 19.33 - 27.48 and 23.73 (ºC) temperature; 13.33 - 30.11 and 23.54 (mg.L-1 of O2) COD. The analysis of the results showed that, under the influence of the sample temporality, there was no significant difference (<0.05) between the copper concentrations in water, but a significant difference (>0.05) between the copper concentrations in the sediments; the collecting sites showed a significant difference (>0.05) for both copper concentration in water and in sediments. The water body was stratified.Downloads
