Abstract

This paper aims to survey the relationship between the urban area use and the vegetation that exists on the pavement and central reservation of Morangueira, São Paulo, Anchieta and Gurucaia avenues, in Maringá, state of Paraná, Brazil. For the accomplishment of this research, a survey has been carried out in the field with photographic register and notes about the kind of trees and shops that exist in each kilometre. This research has also been conducted with the help of theory and specific municipal law. Finally, after the relationship was established, it was possible to discuss about zoning and its implication for urban vegetation.

Possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1997) , especialização em Desenvolvimento Regional pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2003) e mestrado em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2004) . Atualmente é Professor Assistente da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e Responsável Técnico da Ígora Planos e Projetos Ltda. Tem experiência na área de Arquitetura e Urbanismo , com ênfase em Projeto de Arquitetura e Urbanismo.
