Abstract

The research was carried out in São Mateus, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, aiming to analyze the variation of these parameters in the effluent of cassava industry, from the amount of samples statistically obtained between the output of the product until the final port. The method consisted of collecting every semester, one sample in the drought period (July) and another in the rainy period (January) in six different areas, the water taken from river São Mateus. For industrial purposes, E1S1 class, was used as part of transforming the cassava into starch. Results showed that the parameters vary in several monitoring processes and within different stages of the given process. No disturbance for the ecological conditions has been observed since those compounds have been applied under biologically matured conditions.
