Linear programming in an agribusiness - planning, reorganization and profit maximization: case study of Guaraqueçaba
Abstract
A model of linear programming was applied to the Batuva’s Agricultural Products Processing Unit, in order to plan and maximize the banana fruit processing for dried banana (dehydratation) and banana candy. The linear programming was appropriate to the management of the amount of transformed products and to the decisions to amplify and modify the plant structure. Simulations showed that some alterations suggested may maximize the projects of the business up to 175%.Downloads
