Myrcia guianensis (Aubletet) A. P. de Candolle and Myrcia laruotteana Cambesse are species that occur in riparian forests of the Paraná river. The floral morphology and structure, anthesis, anther dehiscence, stigma receptivity and the records of visitor insects are the objectives of this paper. The perianth has mesophyll homogeneous and the ovary is inferior of carpellary and hypanthium nature. The bitegmic and crassinucelate ovules are anatropous in M. guianensis and campylotropous in M. laruotteana. The anthesis is nocturnal. The anthers dehisce at night and the stigma receptivity is prolonged during the entire morning. The most frequent visitor insects are Apis mellifera and Trigona spinipes.Downloads
