Abstract
The objective of this work is to determine the physical characteristics of watersheds in the urban area of Maringá-PR providing elements for a proper management of water resources. The software Spring 4.0, developed by National Institute of Spatial Research - (Inpe - Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais) was utilized for this aim with the help of a topographic contour map.
