Abstract
The article presents research results gathered from a group of local political leaderships, more precisely, candidates to municipal legislative positions in the last elections. The objective of the investigation was to identify some values and attitudes of the candidates in relation to important themes for the identification of their political culture. Through the survey technique and quantitative analysis, a paradoxal concern ensues. On one hand, they were relatively identified as orientations favorable to abstract democracy on the other hand, it was verified that values as elitism, a hierarchized vision in social organization and the denial the political and social conflicts are present in the political culture of the interviewed.Downloads
