Abstract
This study gives continuance for a research entitled “Collective Transport of Maringá City: reality and proposals”. Aiming to rationalize the communication among the main agents of the Transport System and to optimize the citizens moving by the Transport System, we tried to develop, at a first phase, the conceptual modeling of data. We developed an adapted model to different users, which was tested in order to evaluate their reading level and understand of information. The results offered patterns to follow in the work out and presentation of the information and, also, permitted to evidence that a big part of the population does not achieve an elementary reading of graphic information; this population could be described as “illiterate” in cartographic language. These facts should direct the future introduction of the Geographic Information System (GIS) for Public Transport in the cityDownloads
