Brazilian textile industry recent transformations
Abstract
This article intends to present the restructuring process of Brazilian textile industry from 1992 to 1999. Our main focus are the productive units, analyzed through RAISESTAB data. Technological innovations, inherent to capitalism development, are considered as expressions of the capital accumulation process. The factories evolution is studied according to segment (coring/cleaning, spinning/weaving, knitting and finishing) and size (micro, small, medium and large industries).Downloads
