Performance evaluation system in a public university: an instrument for personal and professional development
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to disclose the partial results of a research carried out Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM), since 1996, to evaluate the performance of the employees in its different departments through performance analysis technique. While diagnosis and analysis technique of individual and group performance, performance evaluation should promote personal and professional development besides higher productivity and organizational performance. The application of this methodology showed to be an efficient instrument of performance diagnosis for administrative sectors of a public university and feasible to offer indicators for poor performance correction.Downloads
