Forced mobility - the political economy of human displacements
Abstract
The aim of this article is to investigate the work-centered mobility notion. Therefore a historical survey of the classic economists who incorporated this concept was carried out and its use critically evaluated. Starting from the historical materialism, a more consistent application of the notion of mobility. The idea of forced mobility established twenty years ago by Jean Paul de Gaudemar and centered on Marx’s value/work concept, has been observed, which has trough an important theoretical contribution to the studies of population geography.Downloads
