Relevant factors for the location of brewing MSC in Paraná
Abstract
Industry behavior patterns are influenced by socio-economic and demographic changes. The different market formations occurs due to the behavior of the productive sector that, given the perception of consumption, define positions. Looking into the Brazilian beer industry, new micro and small breweries have emerged in recent years, which in general terms present a new position in the sector. In this context, in order to emphasize the determinants of growth and agglomeration formation in certain regions, an analysis with primary data, obtained by means of an online questionnaire addressed to the entrepreneurs of micro and small companies (MSC), in the state of Paraná, is made. The results show that the GDP per capita has the largest impact when choosing MSC location and, the concentration of MSC Breweries impacts sector growth.
