Abstract

In this article, I make a critical reading on gender questions associated to ethics and society presented in the short-stories of Historia de una perdida y otros cuentos, by Mexican writer Cristina de la Concha. From a dialogue and an ethical protest against the historical process of violence toward women in Mexico and Latin America, in her short-stories she denounces the silence and the naturalization that, traditionally, increase and intensify the violence against woman. This study also proposes to present the Cristina de la Concha’s work to Brazilian readers.
