QUALITY OF LIFE OF CHILD CAREGIVERS OF CHILDREN WITH NEUROMOTOR DISABILITY

Keywords: Children. Mothers. Quality of life.

Abstract

Introduction: When a child with a disability is born, the entire family context ends up, in one way or another, having to be restructured. Normally the mother takes on the role of care and spends most of her time dedicating herself to her children. Methodology: The study was carried out at the Associação Norte Paranaense de Reabilitação, where 10 mothers who stay in the school's support room were interviewed. Result: The quality of life of mothers who have children with disabilities is compromised even because they do not know how to deal with all the issues related to frequent care. Conclusion: The quality of life of the mother of a child with motor disabilities can be impacted by a variety of factors, thus requiring time and effort for care.
