Use of smart glasses as a complementary resource in teaching human anatomy

Abstract

 

Introduction: human Anatomy education traditionally relies on cadavers, which provide valuable hands-on experience but have limitations in detailed visualization of structures. Objective: to investigate the potential of smart glasses as a complementary tool to conventional teaching. Methods: A simple literature review was conducted, analyzing studies that explore the use of innovative technologies in health education. Articles published in the last ten years were included to ensure relevance and currency. Results: smart glasses enable three-dimensional visualizations and dynamic interactions with anatomical content, facilitating a better understanding of concepts and stimulating student interest. Conclusion: integrating smart glasses into Human Anatomy education appears promising, as it enriches student training, enhances learning, and complements traditional methods to meet modern educational demands. The collected data reinforce the viability of this innovative approach
