Atitudes de docentes universitários frente ao comportamento suicida e fatores associados

Abstract

Objetivo: avaliar fatores associados às atitudes dos docentes universitários frente ao comportamento suicida. Método: estudo transversal, 326 docentes. Questionários: Escala Eskin de Atitudes em Relação ao Suicídio; caracterização sociodemográfica, variáveis laborais e relacionadas ao suicídio; Escala Mini. Análises utilizaram-se Qui-quadrado e regressão de Poisson. Resultados: principais associações modelos 1 - aceitação do suicídio: religião (p<0,001) e risco de suicídio (p= 0,014). No modelo 2 - punição pós morte: religião (p<0,001), tempo de trabalho (p=0,008), já pensou em suicídio (p=0,020), ideação suicida amigos (p=0,022), suicídio amigos (p<0,001). No modelo 3 - suicídio como doença mental: maior titulação (p=0,007), orientação sexual (p=0,003). No modelo 4 - falando abertamente sobre o suicídio e problemas psicológicos: faixa etária (p=0,032 e p=0,038), tentativa de suicídio família (p=0,002), tentativa de suicídio amigos (p=0,042). Conclusão: a identificação dos fatores associados às atitudes frente ao comportamento suicida é um diferencial para que ações fortaleçam dentro dos ambientes universitários.
