Abstract

The following documental research aimed to analyze the production of knowledge related to the process of health-labor-disease in the nursing team based on the dissertations and theses presented in graduate programs in Brazil and the repercussions of this production by the publication in national and international scientific journals indexed. A search has been conducted on the databank of theses and dissertations of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), associated with the terms: health-disease process and work in nursing, and labor health and nursing. The search was conducted regarding the period from 2000 to 2009 and content analysis and categorization of themes were performed concerning the relation between health work and disease, based on the similarity between the studies. It was concluded that the knowledge produced about health and work has been directed at identifying the causes of illness related to working conditions and organizational factors, the consequences related to workloads as well as absenteeism due to these situations.
