Abstract
This study is motivated by the National Program for the Reorientation of Professional Training in Health which has supported the development of teaching educational activities in schools as part of the undergraduate course in Nursing. A social phenomenology approach was applied, in order to understand the experience of the Nursing undergraduate student during healthcare education activities. The answers of the undergraduates were collected through interviews performed from August to September 2010. The context of learning health care education was observed in the following categories: identifying the educational activities in the undergraduate courses; applying them in projects directed towards the community; valuing the promotion of healthcare and the prevention of diseases, becoming a healthcare educator. The study has suggested flaws regarding the educational proficiency of the nurses and suggests the development of the undergraduate’s potential as to achieve the skills for healthcare education in their professional lives.Downloads
