Abstract
Violence is an action that invalidates human rights and generates impact on the life and health of women, being considered by the State, health sector and civil society, as an important issue in research. The objective was to recognize the implications of violence on women’s health in the context of family and marital relationships. This is a qualitative study carried out in a socio-educational support group of a city in southern Brazil. Data was obtained with the creativity and sensitivity dynamic called “Tree of Knowledge”, with 17 women in situations of violence. For the analysis, it was applied the technique of thematic content analysis. From the artistic productions and interviews, some categories emerged: implications of violence on women's health and implications of violence in family and marital relationships. Violence affects the women’s lives individually and in the society, leading them to isolation and discouragement regarding to employment. The family destructiveness is implicated in the reproduction of violence with the children. There is a need for a multidisciplinary health work, seeking to minimize vulnerability to alcoholism and smoking, aiming the strengthening of family ties and the violence confront and its impacts on health-disease process.Downloads
