Abstract
Objective to verify the liability of an instrument to classify patient`s degree of dependence on nursing care in a public university hospital. A methodology, quantitative research performed using the Delphi technique to validate the contents. It was reached 90% consensus among the experts. Reliability testing of the instrument was performed in two hospitalization centers, by three judging nurses, including the researcher. The results showed that at the hospitalization center I the Spearman correlation between judges A and B was 0.874, between judges A and C was 0.844, between judges B and C the correlation coefficient was 0.865. Thus, the most significant association of the classifications was from judges A and B. The correlation considered the most significant was 0.01. The Spearman's correlation coefficient between judges A and B in the unit (2) was 0.713, and between judges A and C was 0.735. Between judges B and C the correlation was 0.787, which was the most significant. The results of reliability test can faithfully measure the complexity of care being provided to patients admitted to the studied institution.Downloads
