Abstract
The aim of this research is to understand the nurses toward teenage pregnancy. It was carried out, in a first moment, a conceptual approach about the theme and, the phenomenology universe in Maurice Merleau-Ponty for theoretical methodological referential. Five nurses who work in Basic Health Units in Cascavel – Paraná, were the study subjects. The data collection instrument was prepared with a research question. The interviews were carried out from October to December of 2006. The amount of people interviewed was according to the convergences that were showed. The descriptions were recorded and transcribed. Four theme Units were identified: for the nurses, the teenage body is seen as object of desire and sexual use; the job of the multi-professional team is about the care as corporeity; the responsible paternity can be possible in a context of information through the language among the team, relatives or responsible and the teenagers; the teenager, as a living body, also suffers the effects of the environment. The care among the pregnant teenagers is understood as an action that goes beyond the technical procedures, it includes involvement and commitment with the other.Downloads
