Abstract
Different factors cause nutrition disorders in children: poverty; infectious processes; low intake of nutrients and aspects related to the children environment. The aim of this research was to identify factors associated to children nutrition disorders. It was a quantitative study. Data was collected from the patient’s medical records, compared and analyzed using Mann-Whitey and Chi-Square tests, with significance level at 5%. After analyzing the data, we found that there was no significant difference between groups on the number of family members and maternal age. Children with nutrition disorders had more anemia and diarrhea , and their mothers used more legal and illegal drugs than control group. The registered data in patient’s medical records are extremely important to prevent nutrition disorders, since accurate and complete data allow health professionals identify risk groups, approaching family members and understanding their life habits.Downloads
