Abstract
The aim was to implement and evaluate a plan on nursing care based on the Theory of Goal Attainment destined to an adolescent with cardiovascular risks. The approach was a case study. Data were collected in November, 2003, during six home visits. The diagnosis considered for the attainment of goals, where those confirmed by the individual. At the end of the first week, the adolescent accomplished the activities agreed upon, but still showed imperfections in relation to take medicines. At the end of the second week, the youngster reported to have continued the activities and the medicines which were rarely forgotten. In the third week, there was a set back regarding sleeping time, but it was solved in the following week. The theory revealed to be efficient to implement a systemized nursing care for the studied individual, since there was an active participation in all the stages of its process.Downloads
