Abstract
The preoperative visit of nursing is the stage of the systemization of the attendance that provides the planning for the perioperative nursing care. The objective of this study was to identify the emotional and social nursing diagnoses in the preoperative nursing visit to patients with indication of general surgery that favor the planning of the home nursing care post-surgery, based on the Nursing Theory of Ida Jean Orlando. An instrument of data collecting emphasizing the social and emotional factors was used. Sample consisted of 20 (twenty) patients. The most frequent nursing diagnoses were: interrupted family processes (90%), diminished social interaction (90%), deficient knowledge (85%), anxiety (85%), premature feeling of sorrow (50%) stress syndrome caused by the change of environment (50%), fear (30%) and risk of solitude (25%). It is believed that the participation of the family in the patient's recovery can benefit both, considering that the patient should be discharged from the hospital with a nursing prescription that subsidizes the relatives in the home postoperative care.Downloads
