Nurses with acquired physical deficiency: reflections on the care and to care in nursing practice

Abstract

It is about a contexture reflection on the nursing care referring to the paradigm of the inclusion and the urgency of better professional qualification for the attendance specific needs of the peoples with deficiencies, in the ambit of the institutional health services and home care. It presents and it proposes alternatives concerning the inordinate between the social reality and the programs of professional formation in nursing, suggesting changes in the way of understanding the problem starting from humanistic initiatives of construction and to share of knowledge that make possible the qualitative promotion of the holistic care to that following peoples.

Wiliam César Alves Machado, FUNADESP
Possui graduação em Enfermagem e Obstetrícia pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1977), mestrado em Enfermagem de Saúde Pública pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1988) e doutorado em Ciências da Enfermagem pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1996). Tem experiência na área docente e assistencial de Enfermagem, com ênfase em Enfermagem Fundamental, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: cuidado de enfermagem, reabilitação, enfermagem fundamental, pessoas com deficiência e situações de quase morte.
