Abstract

This article intends to analyze HIV serum positive from the woman integral care point of view. For that we are going to look into a systematic literature review, based on authors whom support the idea of integral care to HIV serum positive woman. The text addresses the integral care and its connections with health care politics/programs, before HIV serum positive woman care, under integral care perspective and professional formation influence. AIDS was, for a long time, considered a homo and bisexual male disease. However studies show the expressive increase of contaminated women every year. It is concluded that the professional has to be able to understand the patient’s needs in order to give him a humanized care. To reach integral care a great step is to change the established teaching models, which, despite been exhaustively discussed, has presented little advance in the practice. Beside that, it is necessary to understand and respect every women life’s choice and history, in order to offer a quality, respectful, thoughtful and ethical care.
