Abstract
The importance of nursing prescription as a guidance tool for the Nursery auxiliaries, technicians and nurses’ action is undeniable. But the hospital reality has shown a lot of issues to make it work. This study aimed to know the nursery team’s perception about nursing prescription in the hospital environment, investigate their knowledge about nursing process (PE) and know their perception about the nursing technicians' participation and about the nursing assistants’ participation in this assistance process. It is a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive research that bases on semi-structured interviews applied on seven members from the nursery team. The results point that the nurses demonstrate certain knowledge about the PE. On the other hand, nursery technicians have reduced understanding this assistance systematic. The nurses realize the nursing prescription as a tool that qualify the assistance. However, the technicians emphasize their participation limited to accomplish the prescribed activities. Thus, although the differences between the nurses’ knowledge and the technicians’ knowledge about the Nursing Process, they identify the nursing prescription as an essential element for the nursing practice.
