Abstract
This article intends to do an approach on the woman with breast cancer that is in radiotherapic treatment and her perception concerning the family and the relationships family front to the context of the cancer. The woman that experiences the cancer becomes more fragile and the support of her family is indispensable on that moment. Starting from this context, we intend to know as the family lives the cancer under the sick person's glance. This research is characterized by having a descriptive and exploratory character, with qualitative focus. They announced six women with breast cancer diagnosis in radiotherapic treatment. For the collection of the data it was used semi-structured interviews, that it was accomplished in a Service of Radiotherapy. In the speech of the subjects two thematic nuclei emerged, the impact of the diagnosis for the family and the family as support source and care for the sick relative. The results contributed to point out that the family should be a foundation for its sick relative, offering support, care and force, so that this person gets to face the disease and the treatment without discouraging. Therefore it stands out the attention to this group as one of the actions of the nurses to take care of the woman attacked by breast cancer, because the families also meet in situation of disease.Downloads
