Abstract

The non-transmissible chronic diseases are the main cause of mortality worldwide, being regarded as a reflection of the extensive changes in the people living habits in the world. Among these diseases we highlight the cardiovascular, diabetes, obesity, cancer, chronic renal failure and respiratory diseases. One of the possible interventions in monitoring the evolution of these diseases and their prevention has been the use of group technology for activities in health education, diseases prevention, skills training, among other ones. This reflexive article aims discussing ways that points to possibilities to make these activities more assertive and appropriates for patients caring needs in health services. This paper addresses conceptual issues related to the group management, appropriate ways of getting the fit of the different groups and the interventions evaluation importance in order to indicate ways for health professionals to improve their performance in groups coordination.
