Semi-structured interviews were performed with thirteen nurses working at that service. Data analysis was performed using the thematic content analysis technique. Results point at nurses work in triage, and in the transfusion team. In triage, nurses show a favorable reception, informing users about issues regarding blood donation. It was found that team work is performed, in which nurses work together to reach a common objective.
