The Latin American Politics of Enrique Dussel (1979): the first step towards the Politics of Liberation
Abstract
Enrique Dussel's Politics of Liberation has in Latin American Politics (1979) the initial volume of a notable philosophical effort that has become a transmodern political philosophy. This work (published under the title of Latin American Ethical Philosophy IV) is the seed that we will see deepened three decades later, especially in its three volumes of the Politics of Liberation. Latin American Politics raises concepts that recognize the need to study Latin America and in general the countries that remain in a situation of otherness with a critical reflection of the hegemonic philosophy. We will return to the topics in the order presented by the author.
