Abstract

The present article carries through some reflections on the rationality in the scope of the decision taking. Leaving of the general agreement that the agents take its decisions of rational form, one searchs to supply arguments that they ahead subsidize the decisions of an uncertainty situation, with sights to improve this process. When making it, a general agreement of the rationality is distinguished on some points of view, for soon after that, discoursing on the theory of the rational choice such as found in sociology and the economy. It is proven from there, the interaction between the rationality and the taking of decision in order to understand that they are complementary in its processes and that when worked of integrated form, culminate in the call theory of the decision, that in turn, is indispensable in the administration of any organization with professional and responsible management. In this perspective, it is approached application of such theory inside of the organizations, to conclude that much of the gotten success, has relation with its use in the instrument form that brightens up risks and uncertainties, and that it can to generate chances and profits.
