RATZEL ASPECTS OF THOUGHT AND CONTEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL EPISTEMOLOGY
Abstract
Society has always had a relationship with the environment based on the transformation of nature through domination by labor and other forceful actions. This relationship when imposing, dominating fragmented and causes further damage to the environment. Following this logic, in this paper, we propose to discuss approaches that integrate nature and society that go beyond the linearity and the fragmentation of science, in fields from other disciplines. This work was funded initially at the thought of Friedrich Ratzel and the studies of Enrique Leff, Edgar Morin, among other thinkers of the contemporary environmental epistemology.
