Full-time schools in São Paulo state: characteristics and principles that guide the Program of Integral Education
Abstract
This study examines the basic principles that guide the pedagogical model, the model of management and the role of schools and professionals of education of the Integral Education Program implemented in Full-Time Schools by the State Department of Education of São Paulo. The study allowed to evidence that central agencies provide a range of management tools to the managing team and teachers of the Full-Time Schools aiming to improve performance of students in internal and external evaluations. Since it is necessary achieve the expected results in a short or medium term, the Education Department, in its plan of action, defines the aims and assumptions used at Full-Time Schools.
