THE EVALUATING STATE AND ITS INFLUENCES ON BRAZILIAN ACADEMIC POLICIES OF PRODUCTION
Abstract
The State, in the view of Agamben, is currently considered a systematized organ and structured in a framework of biopolitical power, responding to the nuances of the capitalized market, in which instrumentality is advocated of a standard of competitive and utilitarian knowledge. In this sense, displaced from the essential relationship with the cultural formation of each nation and its original social nuances. The humanities can contribute to this debate, asking for the aims and horizons that are intended to be achieved with this struggle. If this is a unique and insurmountable model of assessment, or if it is possible to think of other goals to avoid social and competitive barbarism among researchers, graduate programs and universities? In addition, what is the meaning of the research and ideas immersed in this context, about who really wins in the evaluation-economic system and the price for those who adapt to their interests. From the idea of cultural formation and reflection on the relationship of recognition of the other, academic freedom can seek meaning in the critical-social and collaborative relationship. In this context, it seeks its relationships and truths and not the reified determination in the relationships of professional practice and knowledge production.
