Focus and Scope

Our scientific journal publishes original texts on Educational themes featuring different types of research such as Non-formal Education, Historical and Philosophical Studies on Education, Public and Government Policies, Social Movements, Image Studies, Teaching and Learning.

For authors

The journal of Magazine Imagens da Educação requires as least a PHD  degree for authors interested  to submitting article. In the case of collective authorship, at least one of the authors must have such a degree.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to the Editorial Board of the journal will be peer-reviewed and the following items will be mainly taken into consideration:
- Originality;
- Theoretical and Methodological Coherence;
- Link to the Themes above.

When the articles are approved by the Editorial Board, they will evaluated by peers within the area of the research, working in Brazilian or foreign institutions and featuring high scientific production. Posterior to a positive evaluation and the acceptance of suggestions, when due, the article will be accepted for publication. If two peer reviews are positive, the article will be published; if two peer reviews are negative, the publication depends on a further consideration by the Editorial Boards. 

Publication Frequency

Imagens da Educação, ISSN 2179-8427 (on-line)  is published three times a year by the South Brazil Education Programs .

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
