THE THEME OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN GEOGRAPHY TEACHING: A METHODOLOGICAL PROPOSAL

Abstract
The article aims to discuss violence against women as a thematic proposal for Teaching Geography. When considering Brazil as an example, a country marked by gender inequalities and violence, leader in several international rankings in this type of human rights violation, the issue is justified. Based on a theoretical approach, with the presentation of laws, statistical data and results obtained through actions carried out in high school classes of a Public School in the State of Paraná, a methodological proposal is presented to recognize that the students of High School think about violence against women, the text discusses with elements that justify the importance of the inclusion of this problematic in the classes of Geography, fomenting conditions for the teachers to consider the emergence of the same and incorporate in their practices, subjects strategies to address the problem, which is a reality present in the students' daily lives.Downloads
