AESTHETICS, CARE AND RESISTANCE: USES OF LYGIA CLARK'S STRUCTURING OF THE SELF
Abstract
This article reflects on the artistic practices in their relationship with the body based on the artwork Structuring of the Self by the artist Lygia Clark. This way so it problematizes the relationship between aesthetics and politics, thinking them in the context of proposing forms of resistance to biopolitical domination from a political ontology of bodies. Lygia Clark's work gives us tools access the experience through the experimentation of the bodies with so-called ‘relational objects’. Through them, a sensorial deconstruction takes place that allows us to re-signify the signs of power and the subjection devices that regulate our experience from the normative frameworks reified by culture. This analysis was carried in the context of a research project involving students and professors of the psychology course at the Federal University of Jataí-GO. The studies carried out were constituted as a position against the totalitarian and extremist scene in which we live today.
