Abstract

The objective of study was to investigate the temporal organization development of children with learning difficulties. The sample was composed of 34 children, 11 girls and 23 boys aging from 8 to 10 years old, all students of state schools from the city of Londrina-Pr. Data was collected according to the procedures of the Motor Evaluation Manual (Rosa Neto, 2002). Descriptive statistics and frequency tables were adopted for data analysis. The results showed that near 53% of the total sample did not reach adequate levels for temporal organization development. Analyzing the groups individually, only at 8 years old more than half of the children presented a motor age equivalent to normal levels of the chronological age. Therefore, it is possible to verify a motor deficit in the diferent tasks that evaluated temporal organization, indicating tha when there is an increase in the chronological age it apears to have an increase in the relative deficit at the aspects that constitutes the temporal organization.
